Pet Tender Scrapbook
I would like you to meet my family!
This is Aussy!
Aussy was rescued from the humane society and after 1 week of having her,
we discovered she had distemper. She came close to death but I was determined to save her
life. She survived only to become sick with another serious illness about
4 years later. Aussy was diagnosed with a very large tumor in August of 2003.
She declined very quickly and died on September 1, 2003. We miss her very much and look
forward to the day the we will meet again on the Rainbow Bridge.
This is Hampton!
Hampton was found running down the middle of Wade Hampton Blvd. in a
terrible rainstorm. With no luck finding the owner, we decided to keep him. He has been
a blessing. He is definitely my baby and thanks us everyday for rescuing him with his
loyalty and companionship.
This is Feisty!
Feisty was in a litter of seven that was found in the woods. The mother
had been dumped several days earlier (probably because she was pregnant) and had been spotted
running around with another dog. We found homes for all of them including the mother, but
Feisty held a special place in our hearts, so we kept him. He is the dog that welcomes all
of the rescues that we bring in the house and makes them feel at home.
This is Angel!
Angel was a rescue from the CCA. She was found with a chain embedded in
her neck that had to be surgically removed. She had deep emotional scars from the treatment
she received from her previous owners which she exhibited in severe anxiety attacks and
self mutilation. Despite her problems, Angel will be in our lives as long as she lives.
This is Blitz and Blaze (the twins)!
Blitz and Blaze were found in an old abandoned lot,
living in a trash heap. We took them into our home and desperately tried to find the perfect
home for them. Because we did not want to separate them we decided to keep them, so they could
stay together. They turned out to be very devoted pets.
This is Mocha!
Mocha was an adorable feral pup that I rescued from the woods. He grew up fearful of humans and was unable to be adopted.. Mocha acts like a normal dog with me, and has become a wonderful part of the family. He will stay with me til the end.
This is Faith!
Faith was found in the woods with her litter mates. She had a spinal cord injury and was only able to drag the back half of her body. After seeing a specialist, we got her through her handicap and she is now walking and running beautifully. Because of the therapy we went through with her, we were unable to give her up....so now she is our baby.
This is Heidi!
Heidi was severely abused and unwilling to let humans touch her. She came to me a very sad little pup. I worked with her and got her to trust. She now gives kisses, loves to be petted and is a very happy little dog. She lives with all her brothers and sisters and is here to stay.
This is Zoe!
Zoe was found as a pup in the woods and was blind. She would have been permanently blind if we had not found her and got her medical attention. She now sees wonderfully and is a very loyal, loving pup. She will be with me until the end!!
