About Pet Tender

I have been in Greenville since I was four years old. I have had a love for animals ever since I could remember. I remember rescuing beetles and lizards when I was a young child. My mother and father nurtured my love for animals with their obvious love for animals and love for me.

I have had dogs, cats and birds in my life and love all animals, but my definite passion is dogs. There is a bond between a dog and a human unlike any other animal.

I have always had the desire to help animals in need and I guess that is why I have my 9 dogs. Since the beginning of 1999, I have rescued and rehomed over 550 dogs and cats. I started getting involved with animal organizations in 1999 because I wanted to be involved with a cause that was dedicated to helping animals. Since then, I have started my own rescue called Pet Tender Angels and continue to rescue and rehome.

I started Pet Tender because I wanted a job that I was passionate about. The idea of Pet Tender was born because I thought there was a need for this type of service and I knew that my love and compassion for animals would give pet owners the assurance they needed to leave their animals at home. When I go into a person's home to take care of their pets, I go knowing that each animal has different needs and I try to accommodate each, one on one.

So after 6 months of Pet Tending before work, during lunch breaks and after work, I quit my full-time job to dedicate myself to my passion and have not looked back since. I am having the time of my life and am truly thankful for all my loyal, supporting customers. Without their trust in my ability to take care of their family members, Pet Tender would not be possible.
